Dragoni Responsible:
“think green” as a working method

The commitment to sustainability in the textile sector is among the most challenging due to the complexity of the supply chain and processes: the use of natural and synthetic fibers, the use of chemicals for treatments, and high water consumption.

Dragoni has always accepted this challenge to the point of making it a pillar of the company’s activity. This led to the birth of the “Dragoni Responsible” concept, which formalizes the choice to remain focused on environmental issues from a “total care” perspective.

This “Think green” attitude leads us to increase the percentage of sustainable items within our range year after year and to introduce improvements to the production process for the reduction of emissions.

This effort is recognized and attested by numerous certifications. We mention only a few.

For decades, Dragoni has held the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification, which guarantees the absence of harmful substances in textile products—a certification that applies to all the company’s products and all its suppliers.

Some certifications are specific to raw materials, such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), which certifies that the material comes from organic crops, without pesticides and without GMOs.

Dragoni viscose is FSC® certified, meaning it is made with cellulose generated from regenerated forests. Furthermore, GRS certification on various fabrics attests to the content of recycled materials.

But let’s discover all these certifications in detail, demonstrating that “Dragoni Responsible” is not just a slogan.

Responsible and certified production

FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council

Forest Stewardship Council is an independent international certification that guarantees correct forest management and the traceability of derived products.

Tencel™

Dragoni uses Tencel™ blends (Lyocell or Modal), a biodegradable fiber from Lenzing AG made from FSC-certified wood, produced with a closed-loop process that recovers over 99% of non-toxic solvents.

GOTS - Global Organic Textile Standard

GOTS is the leading international standard for textile products made from organic natural fibers (min. 70-95%), ensuring their traceability.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100

Ensures that the textile product is safe for human health. It has annual validity and includes testing for approximately one thousand harmful substances.

GRS - Global Recycled Standard

This is a voluntary international standard that certifies the content of recycled materials. It is promoted by Textile Exchange, a global non-profit organization operating in the textile and fashion sector to promote the circular economy.

BCI - Better Cotton Initiative

This certification guarantees that sustainable practices are adopted in the cotton production chain, for the preservation of biodiversity, responsible management of water resources, and attention to the working conditions of cultivation workers.

Our logos to guide you through the fibers

We have adopted a series of internal logos for our products, designed to make the communication of material characteristics more immediate.
These symbols indicate:

  • the presence of natural fibers, such as hemp, bamboo, and regenerative cotton (grown using regenerative agricultural practices, aimed at improving soil health);
  • artificial fibers of natural origin, such as Soft Modal;
  • the use of biodegradable materials.

Our logos are for informational purposes and do not replace certifications issued by internationally recognized third-party bodies, except where expressly indicated.
