Fabrics for high fashion and casual wear
CLOTHING: SHIRTMAKING
Non-stretch and stretch fabrics: elegance and comfort
Our production of apparel fabrics ranges from natural fibers to stretch fabrics, meeting the ever-evolving demands of the fashion industry.
The collection offers cottons crafted in various weaves or blended with other fine fibers.
For garments such as trousers, deconstructed jackets, or coats, the cotton can include an elastic component that improves fit, durability, and functional performance.
For shirtmaking, from formal occasions to casual styles, we use premium materials such as cotton, silk, and linen—particularly for Spring/Summer garments—and wool, cashmere, and Tencel for Autumn/Winter.
Our range includes “non-stretch fabrics” in cotton or natural blends—breathable, fresh, and shape-retaining even after use and washing—alongside “stretch fabrics” containing a percentage of elastic fiber, which enhance garment fit by responding to body movements and adapting to shapes.
These solutions are complemented by refined blends, such as cotton/silk, which offers lightness and freshness in warmer seasons, and cotton/cashmere, ideal for winter.
After rigorous laboratory testing, raw fabrics are prepared for processing.
They must first be cleaned of impurities. Cotton undergoes mercerization and bleaching, a treatment based on soda and hydrogen peroxide that makes the fiber more compact so it can be dyed more easily.
The process then moves to dyeing, including all possible slubbing variations.
This is followed by the finishing phase, which includes a wide variety of treatments that give each fabric its specific characteristics.
Finally, printing allows for the customization of the fabric according to client needs and market trends.
Our processes combine artisan attention to detail with the use of the latest technologies.
Discover the processes
Various dyeing processes are used, selected based on the fabric and the desired aesthetic effect. At Dragoni, every stage is strictly controlled to ensure color uniformity and stability.
This refers to the set of textile finishing operations used to improve appearance, texture, functional properties, and durability: from mechanical processing to enzymatic finishing.
Printing is the stage where each fabric receives its "personalization." Using various printing techniques, exclusive colors, designs, and patterns can be applied.
Dragoni fabrics are sought after by companies and brands that design and manufacture clothing for diverse markets. Our partners include major fashion brands and specialized garment manufacturers, along with smaller entities, ateliers, and boutiques looking for reliable and distinctive materials to define their collections.
With many clients, we develop a collaborative relationship that goes beyond supply: a continuous dialogue regarding materials, processes, and trends. In this way, our fabrics play a leading role in the journey from stylistic idea to the finished garment.
